학습 목표: 기본 문장구조에 느낌동사를 넣어 연습함으로써 영어의 어순을 입으로 훈련하고 뉘앙스를 익힌다. 


느낌동사1  can, could, should, will, would, may, must 로 말하기 

느낌동사2  had better, would like to, would rather, gotta, have to, be able to, need to, 

                   used to, get used to, be supposed to 로 말하기

느낌동사3  could have pp, would have pp, should have pp, must have pp 로 말하기

1) 느낌동사 1

Can - 능력(~할 수 있어) / 허락(~해도 돼) / 추측(~일 수도 있어)

Can you help me move this table over there? (능력)

Can i bring my cell phone to class when i take an exam? (허락)

It can be dangerous to babies. (추측)


Could - 과거능력(~할 수 있었어) / 추측(~일 수도 있어) / 공손한 요청(~해도 되겠습니까?)

I couldn't finish my English homework until on time (과거능력)

Should - 권유,충고(~해야 해) / 추측(~일 거야)

Will - 편한 부탁(~줄래?) / 미래 질문(~일까?) / 의지 미래(~하겠어) / 단순 미래(~할 거야, ~일 것이다)

Would - 추측(~일 것이다) / 의지(나라면 ~하겠다) / 공손한 요청(~해 주시겠습니까?)

I couldn't hear that, would you repeat the last sentence? (공손한 요청)


May(might) - 추측(~일지도 몰라) / 공손한 허락(~하셔도 됩나다) 

We might not visit the famous museum on our travels. (추측)

Must - 매우 강한 의무(~꼭 ~해야 한다) / 매우 강한 추측(~임에 틀림없다)

You must operate without making any mistakes. (매우 강한 의무)

You must be crazy. (매우 강한 추측)

*공손함의 정도 would > Could > can = will

*추측의 정도 would 강 could 중 might 약


2) 느낌동사 2

Had better - 경고(~해라, ~하는 게 낫다) 

You had better listen to him otherwise something will happen. 

She had better see a doctor as soon as possible.  

You had better not give an extreme case.


Would like to - 정중한 표현(~하고 싶어요)

I would like to reserve a sweet room of the hotel this week. 

Would you like to buy a ticket for next week's concert?

I don't feel like confiding my secret to a stranger.

*부정문 Wouldn't like to (X) Don't feel like (O) 


Would rather - 선택(~보다 차라리 ~하겠다)

I would rather take a nap than watch a movie during the break.

You would rather not give up studying English.

I would rather play a lead role in the musical than supporting role. 


Gotta - 의무(~해야 한다)

I gotta go through the immigration that be known for difficult. 

You gotta quit smoking for your health from now on.

I have got to finish this significant project whatever may happen.


Have to - 강한 의무(~해야 한다)

Do i have to water the flowers today?

He doesn't have to get insurance because he is really good at driving.

You don't have to hurry up, take your time slowly. 


Will able to - 미래 능력(~할 수 있을 것이다) / Was able to - 과거 능력(~할 수 있었다)

Will i be able to get a refund this skirt? (미래 능력)

Someday, i will be able to join a big company surely. 

Fortunately, I wasn't able to keep in touch with him. (과거 능력)

They were able to realize the truth thanks to me.


Need to - 필요성(~해야 해)

You don't need to enter the password when you go in there.

I need to lose weight at least until summer vacation.

You don't need to buy soya milk because there's still some left.


Used to - 과거 습관(~하곤 했다)

I used to play badminton with my father which is a happy memory. 

I didn't use to read a book however i'm interested in reading.

She used to be rebellious to elders unnecessarily when she was young. 


Be used to, Get used to - 익숙함(~에 익숙해지다, 편해지다)

He's still not used to arranging his position by himself.

Are you used to living in another country for a long time?

I got used to getting up early, aren't you?


Be supposed to - 의무(~해야 해)

You are never supposed to come in during our business meeting.

We are not supposed to dive in the lake recklessly.

Am i supposed to check where your luggage is?  


3) 느낌동사 3

Could have pp - 아쉬움(~할 수도 있었는데*능력)

I couldn't have done it without your help, thank you.

I could have traveled to America with friends in February.

You could have comforted me while i was crying.


Would have pp - 아쉬움(~했었을 텐데*의지)

If he noticed your ability, he would have hired you.  

I would have invited you If i had already known that you wanna come here. 

I would have practiced my drawing skills more. 


Should have pp - 아쉬움(~했어야 했는데*의무)

I shouldn't have seen it, it still makes me feel creepy.

You should have catched the chance for your future even though you don't want.

I should have done extra explanation there for foreigner.


Must have pp - 추측(~했던게 분명해)

There must have been no one there at that time.

You must have heard it together then why don't you know? 

I must have told you, it's not my fault completely. 

*부정문 must not (X) cannot (O)


4) 기본동사

Get - 사다 / 얻다 / 소유하다 / 받다 / 되다 / 도착하다 / 가져오다 / 기타

Finally, I got an expensive wallet. (사다)

Can i get a table for eight people in this restaurant? (얻다)

I got an available credit, let's eat out. (소유하다)

I got a lot of birthday gifts so i'm very happy today. (받다)

I'm already getting hungry because i didn't have breakfast. (되다)

It gets to be annoyed me since a while a go. (기타)


Have - 소유하다 / 먹다 / 시간을 보내다 / 하다 / 앓다 / 기타

I have blue eyes that is hereditary from my father. (소유하다)

Shall we have a midnight snack? (먹다)

Why don't you have a meningful time? (시간을 보내다)

Let's have a haircut together at the nearby beauty shop. (하다)

I have a broken leg because i slipped on the ice a few hours ago. (앓다)

I'm going to have a baby around November. (기타)


Take - 시간이 걸리다 / 필요하다 / 데려가다 / 가져가다 / 먹다 / 기타

It will take a while, please wait 20 minutes. (시간이 걸리다)

It's hard work therefore it takes so much labour force. (필요하다)

He often used to take me there on our date. (데려가다)

A thief took everything in my home! (가져가다)

I don't take suger too much that is not good for health. (먹다)

We must take the temperature in order to prevention COVID19. (기타)


5) 지각동사

See - 보다 (무의지) / Watch, Look at - 보다 (의지)

I saw you crying in front of friends, what's going on? (무의지)

I watched you running so fast. (의지)

I looked at her because she didn't give any eyes. (의지)


Hear - 듣다 (무의지) / Listen to - 듣다 (의지)

I heard you snoring, that was so fun. (무의지)

I listened to the bird singing in the morning. (의지)


Feel - 느끼다, 들다

I felt my house shaking so we went outside right away. 

I felt someone push me and i shouted.  


Smell - 맡다, 냄새가 나다

I smelled someone make coffee, i wanna eat a cup of coffee.

I smell something burning, is there a fire?

*지각동사 + 목적어 뒤에 ing를 사용하면 동작을 강조


6) 사역동사

Make - ~하게 하다 (강제성)

She made him set the table.

They made her sing a song in front of people.

I made them quit talking behind somebody's back.


Have - ~하게 하다 (무강제성)

I had them sign the contract immidiately.

Have her assume this work if she wants.

You had people draw attention successfully for your speech.


Let - 하도록 하다 (허락)

The children are very loud so mom let them play outside. 

My teacher let me take a rest in a nurse's room.

I knocked the door and he let me come his office.  


Get - ~하게 하다 (무강제성) * to + 동사

No thanks, i got my boyfriend to pick me up. 

I got my friend to seek her job by useful information.  

He got me to apologize about my mistakes. 


7) 시제

과거 - ~했다, ~이였다, ~에 있었다

We asked our teacher what was the truth.

She was absent last class without permission so she has to punish.

Were you there at the same time as me? 


현재 -  늘 ~한다 (습관) / ~할 것이다 (미래) *미래부사 사용 / ~이다, ~에 있다

I don't drink coffee because i'm not cut out for caffeine. (습관)

Do you graduate a high school next year? (미래)

She is not single, she already got married to him a few years ago.


미래 - 순간 결정 (will) / 미리 계획 (be going to = gonna)

I won't regret about the past anymore. 

Will you call the service center to inquire?

I'm not going to sell my house for a while because it's convenient for me. 

Are you going to try applying new companies?


과거진행 - ~하고 있었다

Were you talking on the phone when they summoned you?

I was preparing for cooking so i didn't hear you knock. 

You were playing the guiter in the music room so I couldn't greet you.  


현재진행 - ~하고 있다 / ~할 것이다 (미래) *미래부사 사용 *회화체 / 요즘 ~하고 있다 (근황)

They are arguing loudly now. 

I'm not visiting his president's office tomorrow.

She is seeing someone so she is very busy these days.


미래진행 - ~하고 있을 것이다

They will be sitting next to me.

I won't be living in Korea, i will be spending time in New York.

Will you be getting around somewhere?


과거완료 had pp  - ~했다 *과거보다 더 과거 (과거와 함께)

I had written this letter and thrown away but he picked up that in the garbage can.     

He had taken a flop in front of so many people so people laughed loudly.

You had broken carelessly my glasses so i was infuriated.


현재완료 have pp  - ~한 적 있다 (경험) / ~째 해 왔다, ~동안 해 왔다 (계속) / ~했다 (완료결과) 

I have watched it when i take a trip to the Philippines. (경험)

Have you gotten broken legs before? (경험)

I haven't stayed for a long time another countries before. (경험)

My father has put on his glasses for 30 years old. (계속)

Have you used a wheelchair since you had an accident? (계속)

She has done her best hard every moment. (계속)

He can't borrow books because he has already gotten an overdue book. (완료결과)

She has lost her wallet so she didn't pay the bill. (완료결과)

I already have started study of English so i got a lot of confidence about English. (완료결과)

*과거에 ~했고 현재도 그러하다, 그때부터 지금까지 쭉


미래완료 will + have pp - ~해 놓을 것이다 (완료) / ~번째 ~하게 되는 것이다 (경험)

I will have removed bad smell in some way or other. (완료)

He will have settled this situation, don't worry about it. (완료)

I will have explained it for you 3 times. (경험)

They will have gotten a scolding 5 times. (경험)


현재완료진행 have been + ing - 계속 ~했다 

I have been going over to church since when i was young.

Have they been still living there?  

He have been trying to contact with me to swindle.

*계속 해왔고 지금도 하는 중일 때 or 강조할 때 


8) 동사변형 

주어역할 1 - 동명사 형태로 동사 앞에 위치 (은, 는, 이, 가 로 해석)

Giving a laugh loudly has a good effect for health.

Seeking the right job for me is really hard especially in these times. 

Creating something non-existent should expreience pains of creativity.

Saving money steadily without useless consumption is not easy.

Talking with foreigner in a foreign language requires preparation so much.

*항상 단수취급


주어역할 2 - To부정사 형태로 동사 앞에 위치 or 가주어 만들기

It needs a lot of courage and responsibility to become a mother.

It has to get confidence and passion to become like a native speaker.

It can be possible to accept and believe about invisible. 

It is a very silm chance to win a lottery in a row.  

It is unaware of the passage of time to have fun and chat with them.

*To부정사 주어는 뒤로 빼는게 더 자연스러움 (회화체)


목적어역할 1 - 동명사 형태로 동사 바로 뒤에 위치 (을, 를)

I have quitted eating fast food even though i used to be enjoy it.

Do you like discussing about social issues with people?

They should have considered exchanging entirely the number of people.

She postponed starting school a little more as it may chance.

I didn't have imagined passing away by occasion of illness.


목적어역할 2 - To부정사 형태로 동사 바로 뒤에 위치

Have you ever tried to work diligently for us?

I decide to live abroad in twenties because it is my wish to achieve. 

She longs to return to her hometown as soon as possible.

Do you swear sincerely to keep our promise? 

You cannot afford to relax your concentration for a moment. 

동명사를 목적어로 취하는 동사

enjoy, keep, practice, finish, delay, give up, resist, imagine, suggest, mind, postpone, avoid, miss, dislike, quit, appreciate, consider, admit, deny, abandon, deny, risk, escape, discuss

  To부정사를 목적어로 취하는 동사 

want, wish, hope, promise, decide, expect, afford, plan, dare, pretend, tend, fail, refuse, swear, offer, prefer, seem, mean, determine, long, prepare, intend, attempt, seek, manage, deserve, desire, need, learn, agree

  모두 가능한 동사 

like, love, hate, start, begin, continue 

 동명사와 To부정사에 따라 의미가 바뀌는 동사

  • stop + 동명사 = ~하는 것을 멈추다
             + to부정사  = ~하기 위해 멈추다
  • forget + 동명사 = ~한 것을 잊다
  •             + to부정사 = ~할 것을 잊다

부사역할 - 완전한 문장 뒤에 To부정사로 연결 (~하기 위해서, ~하려고)

I study English hard come rain or shine to communicate well with foreigner.

She eats only natural foods including grains, vegetables, fruits to stay healthy.  

A princess who is stucked in the palace came out for the first time to see the world. 

He was removing all traces not to get a scolding to teachers.

9) 후치수식 1

Who + be동사 - 사람을 뒤에서 꾸밀 때 사용

We don't need to examine people who were not at the station that time.

The man who is angry at you is still here.

I like the man who is really good at sports like my father.

*상태, 직업, 장소, 동작의 진행 나타냄 / 단수와 복수 구분하기


Who + 일반동사 - 사람을 뒤에서 꾸밀 때 사용 

He visited after a long time the teacher who gave him help a lot his school days.  

She only likes the man who goes to church diligently.

I hit it off with people who have outgoing and cheerful personalities.

The man who takes good care of baby is trustworthy.

I feel envious of Korean who speak English fluently by effort.

Which + be동사 - 사물을 뒤에서 꾸밀 때 사용

I'm going to wash my car which is very messy this weekend.

We buried the time capsule which is full of memories under the tree.

I will bring my car which is at work to drive you home later. 


 *상태, 명칭, 장소, 동작의 진행을 나타냄 / a는 아무거나, the는 분명한 그것이라는 뉘앙스


Which + 일반동사 - 사물을 뒤에서 꾸밀 때 사용

Buildings which don't have an earthquake-resistant design could be dangerous.

I don't prefer buying the carpat which doesn't feel soft.

Sometime, i want to go the contry which has the most beautiful sea.   

I'm sure the sign which brings good luck will be helpful for you.

A loudspeaker which doesn't have a high quality sound is useless to us.

10) 후치수식 2

사람 + ing - who를 쓰지 않고 꾸미는 사람 뒤에 ing 사용

Do you see the man entering a store with a red sign?

I don't know well the woman doing a part-time job with him.

She ignores people approaching persistently to her.

Who is the man playing tennis with a little boy in the park?  

The man falling into a manhole seems need some help.

*동사원형 + ing = 꾸미는 사람의 동작을 묘사 (능동적인 뉘앙스)


사람 + pp - 꾸미는 사람 뒤에 동사의 pp꼴 사용

Did you talk with the man summoned to the police station?

I know what has become of the man not taken to the hospital.

People found in a cave are investigating now. 

We came to rescue dogs bound hand and foot here.

A princess not loved by parents escaped from her country.  

*pp꼴로 수동적인 뉘앙스 / be동사 뒤에 ing 또는 pp가 나오면 who+be동사 생략가능


사물 + pp - 꾸미는 사물 뒤에 동사의 pp꼴 사용

Fortunately, I recovered the bag stolen by a thief last night.

We must sell the car not sold yesterday at least up to today.

If you need to use a computer right now, use the computer fixed earlier.

I tried to restore the poster torn by my sister but it couldn't recover original.

11) 후치수식 3

Where - 장소를 꾸밀 때 사용 

This is the restaurant where i had my first-ever blind date. 

This is a cafe where i often have meeting with people to make a friend of foreigner.

The library where i study for the exam is really quiet.

The store where i usually purchase food ingredients is reliable.

The countries where i don't wanna go forever seem threatening. 

*항상 (Where + 주어 + 동사) 어순


When - 시간을 꾸밀 때 사용

Do you remember the day you came back on your way to London?

I flew out of my skin the moment when i met my dog.

The days i didn't go to school became absence processing.

The moment when i was so embarrassed occured to me suddenly.

The years i couldn't see my mom were not great. 

*항상 (When + 주어 + 동사) 어순


Why - 이유를 꾸며 줄 때 사용

The reason why i don't wanna get a long with you is pretty complicated.

Do you wonder why I called you last night?

Reasons why i resolved to apply for this company are diverse.

Can you guess why i invited you to my house separately, unlike others? 

Do you have no idea the reason i worry about you sincerely.

*항상 (Why + 주어 + 동사) 어순


How - 방법, 방식을 꾸며 줄 때 사용

The way the parents have taught their children is something wrong. 

This is how i survive in crisis and overcome as if nothing had happened.

The way he responds is always the same so it's banal for me.

11) 문장종류 

비교급 more than - er 붙이는 경우(2음절 이하) / more 붙이는 경우(3음절 이상) 

You are always luckier than me.

This red blanket softer than that green blanket definitly. 

This place might be wider than my house. 

It is more difficult than complicated math exam.  

This sofa is more comfortable than the sofa what we have.

This airpods are more useful than the earphone.

*불규칙 : more + tired, boring, basic, common, crowed / 형용사만 가능


비교급 as~as be동사 + 형용사 / 일반동사 + 부사 

I'm as exhausted as you now

He is really as cool as a celebrity.

She is still as young as teenager even if It's been a long time.

I can speak English as naturally as foreigner. 

You try to spend time as diligently as me.

Don't behave as isolently as before.


최상급 the most - the + -est인 경우 (2음절 이하) / the most인 경우 (3음절 이상)

The man who is the fattest in the world is unhealty. 

Actually the happiest man is poor.  

The smartest man surpassed AI surprisingly. 

This is the most crowed place in Korea.

He is the most savage person among us.

That is the most peaceful village in my country. 

*최상급은 항상 the가 붙음 / 불규칙 있음 / 형용사만 가능


It's 문장 1 -  감정을 유발시키는 ing 꼴

It's frustrating that i have to get a haircut soon.

It's fascinating to play a musical instrument.

It's astonishing to be piled up snow in my village.

It's touching that you prepared dinner for me.

It's depressing that we can't go to trip anywhere. 

It's frightening to think it could happen one more time.


It's 문장 2 -  외부 자극에 의해서 느낌을 받는 pp 꼴

I'm encouraged a lot after i listened to his speech. 

I'm annoyed that Mosquitoes bugged me all night.

I'm embarrassed when i made a mistake in front of everyone.

I'm pleased that i met you among a lot of people.

I'm expected what we will do on the first date.


가정법 - If + 주어 + 과거동사, 주어 + 과거동사

If i stopped by at your home, we could eat together.

If she didn't come here, we wouldn't be caught.   

If i completed this work, i could hang out with you. 

*주로 과거시제를 쓰고, 현재로 해석 (아쉬움) : 가능성이 없을 때 / 현재시제 사용하는 경우 : 가능성이 있을 때


be동사 가정법 - If + 주어 + were, 주어 + 과거동사

If i were you, i would accept apology and forgive them.   

If she were a boss, we could work more comfortable. 

If i were successful earlier, i could help others a lot more.

*주어 상관없이 were 사용


감탄문 - how + 형용사 (+ 주어 + 동사) / what + 명사 (+주어 + 동사) 

Look at the twins, how cute they are!

He will fight in a war, how brave he is!

I'm at a loss for words, how delicious it is!

What a party! i like this mood.

What a big dog it is! i've never seen big dog as this before.

What a nice song it is! it will win the jackpot.

12) 전치사 1

전치사 at - 시간, 장소에 사용 / ""의 개념 (한 시점, 지점)

I'm even regretful not studying hard at your age.

I wil make up unusually to party at Halloween.

Can you pick me up here until at 7. 

Surprisingly, i saw them together at the cinema a few days ago.

*at home : 가정이라는 추상적 개념, 즉 지점을 의미

 in the house : 건물이라는 물질적 개념, 즉 건물 내부를 의미


전치사 on - 시간, 장소, 도구수단에 사용 / "접촉"의 개념 (표면, 평면)

He put a ring which is hand-made on my finger.

Have you seen my favorite DVD on the couch?

What about get together with all the rellies on Thanksgiving at my home?

I must have been seeing that on social media before.

*일어서서 돌아다닐 수 있는 교통수단은 on 사용 예) 버스, 지하철, 비행기 (자가용X)


전치사 in - 시간, 장소에 사용 / "공간"의 개념 (넓은 공간, 긴 시간, 내부)

전치사 by - 마감완료, 옆에, 행위자, 교통수단에 사용 / "영향"의 개념 (~까지, ~옆에, ~에 의해서, ~로)

by : 완료 느낌 - finish, come back, arrive 등과 함께 사용

<옆에>

beside : 바로 옆에 - 예) 그의 곁에있는 강아지

by : 조금 떨어진 옆에 - 예) 강 옆에 조금 떨어진 집 하나

<교통수단>

교통수단 개념에서는 관사를 사용하지 않음 (a, theX) 

by bus : 수단의 의미 / on the bus : 탑승의 의미 / in the bus : 내부 존재의 의미


전치사 from - 시간 시작점, 장소 시작점, 출처에 사용 / "출처"의 개념 (~로 부터)

전치사 to - 대상, 방향, 범위설정(up to) / "도달"의 개념 (~에게, ~로, ~까지)

전치사 out of - 밖으로, 벗어난, 출처, 중에서 / "안에서 밖으로"의 개념 (~로부터, ~때문에)
